Polk Soil and Water Conservation District

  • PSWCD is a special district formed in 1966 to promote the wise use of natural resources in Polk County. PSWCD’s is a local leader of a diverse set of watershed programs that for restoration, long-term protections, habitat monitoring, and outreach and education. In addition, they provide technical assistance for just about any natural resource issue, from working farms and pastures, to upland woodlands and timber, and urban greenways and streams.
  • 2014 Yamhill/Polk Agricultural Pesticide Waste Collection Event  -The PSWC partnered with us in the coordination of a pesticide collection event for Yamhill and Polk Counties, which included assistance with planning, publicity/outreach, and day-of setup, registration, and food/coffee for our participant growers. Thank you PSWCD for making this event an incredible success!
