UPDATE:
With the heat advisory, we’ll be starting / ending early **9:30am – 11:30** to avoid some of the higher temps of the day.
I’ll bring lots of cold water bottles and snacks, and there are camas areas in the shade to harvest too.
It’ll still be a toasty morning even with the earlier times, so please be mindful of your needs and don’t feel pressured to make it at all.
For those who are interested in camas seeds for your home / property, but aren’t able to attend, feel welcome to send me an email [email protected] at your convenience and I’ll add you to our Camas Seed email list. The best time to seed native wildflowers is in the Autumn just before leaf fall, so there’s no rush to get them this weekend.

    Join us Saturday 6/26 10am – 1pm to harvest native Camas lilly wildflower seed pods along the Yamhill Creek City Nature Trail.Take home a packet of Camas seeds for your backyard habitat or flower garden as a Volunteer Thank You gift.

    Meet at the gravel parking lot at the entrance to Yamhill Creek City Nature Trail just off of HWY 47 at South edge of City of Yamhill, near the wastewater treatment plant, and former recycling center.

    – Camas seed packets to take home for your backyard habitat or flower garden as a volunteer Thank You gift ?
    – Pre-packaged snacks and bottled water
    – Leather and garden work gloves
    – Hand clippers and plastic totes for seed collection
    – Hand washing station
    – Additional tools in case we do some light weeding / trash cleanup / etc
  • **VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE BRING**
    – COVID Facial Cover (ie mask, face shield). We’ll also social distance
    – Yourself, family, friends, roommates
    – Waterbottle
    – Dress for weather
    – Wear clothes/shoes you can get wet / dirty
    – Long pants and long shirt recommended if you want to get into some of the brushier areas to harvest seed (optional)
