Join us for a Pesticide Water Quality and Stream Flow Sampling field day.
Afternoon Shift in Mac is Family-Friendly
Help GYWC staff collect water samples from Cozine Creek (McMInnville) and West Fork Palmer Creek (Dayton) to be analyzed at the State DEQ’s Lab for 100+ pesticides. Data is also collected on stream flow to measure how much water is in the creek at time of sampling.
Volunteers may join for full or partial field days.
Day-Of Sampling Agenda:

Limited space for 1 volunteer to join in carpool for AM Dayton shift. - 8am – 1pm: Dayton Area, 3 Pesticide Sample Sites on West Fork Palmer Creek
- 1pm – 2pm: Lunch Break in Mac
- 2pm – 5/6pm: McMinnville Area, 4 Sample Sites on Cozine Creek.Afternoon is Family-Friendly, flexible timing, and parking/access for multiple Vehicles and Volunteers. – Teen & Adult Size Wading Gear available in sizes Mens 7 – 13.

– Wading Gear, Work Gloves, and Safety Vest (Teen & Adult Wading Gear available in sizes Mens 7 – 13)
– Carpool for Dayton Area AM shift for 1 volunteer. Caravan for multiple volunteers for McMinnville area PM shift.
